THIS EP WAS NOT SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN AS SUNDAY GOTCHAS WERE WORKING ON OUR FULL-LENGTH ALBUM WHEN WE COULD BETWEEN THE WORRIES OF THE PANDEMIC. HOWEVER, AS PROTESTS ERUPTED THAT HAVE BROUGHT TO LIGHT OUR CULTURE'S LONG HISTORY OF MASS INEQUALITY, BRUTALITY, AND INJUSTICE THINGS TOOK A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT TURN AS WE WROTE WHAT BECAME THE TITLE TRACK.

ONCE WE REALIZED THAT TIME WAS OF THE ESSENCE WITH SAID TRACK IT OCCURRED TO THE GOTCHAS THAT SOME OTHER TRACKS MEANT FOR THE ALBUM WOULD FIT EASIER ON THIS RELEASE AND THUS, THIS EP WAS UNDERWAY.

WHILE ONE SONG FROM THIS RELEASE MAY APPEAR ON THE UPCOMING FULL-LENGTH IN A SLIGHTLY DIFFERENT FORM, OVERALL THE MUSIC HERE WAS BEST MEANT TO BE ON THIS RELEASE AND, TO THE BEST OF OUR KNOWLEDGE, IS FOR THE EP.

WHILE MUSIC CAN'T NECESSARILY CHANGE THE WORLD ALONE WE HOPE OUR MUSIC HAS ACCURATELY REFLECTED THINGS AS THEY ARE NOW AND THAT LISTENERS GET AS MUCH FROM IT IN THEIR LIVES AS WE DID MAKING IT.

WE DIDN'T EXPECT 2020 T0 BE LIKE THIS EITHER BUT HERE WE ARE SO LET'S DO WHAT WE CAN TO MAKE THINGS BETTER.

HOWEVER, FOR ALL WE KNOW THOSE TWO MIGHT NOT EXIST OR BE PSEUDONYMS FOR A COUPLE OF MUSICIANS -OR MAYBE JUST ONE PERSON? HOPEFULLY WE'LL LEARN SOON.,

The sole guest musician was BOONE STIGALL for the guitar outro orchestration on "Summer in the Maelstrom" and the solo in "Discourse in the Age of MAGA."

Recorded, mixed, and attempted mastering by BOONE STIGALL with the BOCONFUSASOUND MOBILE in makeshift studios somewhere in the outskirts of Polk County, Iowa when rare moments allowed in June and July 2020. "Summer in the Maelstrom" and "Hello From the Maelstrom" were donewhen rare moments allowed in June and July 2020.

The main tracks for "The Public Gets What the Donors Want," "Discourse in the Age of MAGA" and "Fish Bomb or Phallus" were recorded by Boone with the BOCONFUSASOUND MOBILE at assorted points (when time allowed) over the past couple of years while the vocals and overdubs ended up being done in the summer of 2020 alons with the other two songs.
